DIY: Stella McCartney Dress

My last project's motivator was Stella McCartney's dress from her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, I saw the picture of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing this dress on http://www.pinterest.com/ and fell in love with it immediately. I could not stop thinking about it and   finaly I was lucky to find a similar dress that needed few changes to make my "dream dress" This dress was found on http://www.etsy.com/, see the picture of it below.

Одним из моих недавних проектов стало платье - вдохновением к этому проекту послужила весенне летняя коллекция от Стеллы Мак Картни.
Я достаточно долго искала подходящий вариант для этого проекта. И вот снова  пришла на помощь www.etsy.com -cайт который продает винтажную одежду и всякую всячину для любителей переделок. . Именно там я и нашла как мне показалось наиболее лучшую кандидатуру.

Следующим шагом был поиск кружева нужного цвета и дизайна. Его я нашла на всеми любимом сайте www.ebay.com

 

 

What I did:
I cut the bottom of the dress (measuring the desired length), then I cut in certain angle left and right sides, at the front and the back. And then I attached lace to the dress (glued) and sewed it the same way it is done on the first picture.
Done, with some efforts, I breathed a new life to the old dress, see it below.

Имея в наличии все неоходимые ингридиенты я приступила к работе:
Сначала я замерела нужную мне длину и срезала лишнюю часть платья. Затем я срезала по диагонали (от правого края к центру) одну сторону платья и тоже самое проделала с левой сторoны - спреди и сзади. Приклеила кружево клеем что бы закрепить его на ткани. А после этого пришила его окончательно.
