Dress makeover

Hello guys. I love changing, or upgrading clothes. This time I found long polka dot dress, it is designed in a simple straight line. There was nothing catchy about this dress - I think this is the most important quality of the clothes that potentially can be changed or reinvented. So what I decided to make out of this dress is... vest

For this project I used:

Old dress (above)

and

Bias tape:

I cut the front part in half , and also made slits at both sides, and then I sewed bias tape along the front, hem, around each slid and along the neck line. Then I made a belt from leftovers of my old belt - black parts and connected those three parts (in black fabric) with the same white bias tape, basically the belt is transparent.
